And Now For Something Completely Different

for

As I sat in class today, the inspiration hit me to write something different, something new, and this was the result.

Forward Not Backward

Move forward, not backward, that is easy to say, treating real life like it is a children’s game.

The universe keeps on keeping on, once a moment goes, it’s gone.

Even standing still is a lie, time is going to drag you with it, whether you kick, scream or cry.

Fast or slow, it is all the same, despite how we feel, each day keeps the same pace.

Do you live life, or bide time until you die?

Kierkegaard said, “life can only be understood backward, but it must be lived forward”, do not wait until your dead to let life’s lessons sink into your head.

Willing or resistant, only you can decide, by the pen or sword which do you live by?  Be a balance of each, in action, in speech.

While those who fight may only sometimes win, those who write will get the last word in.

Live and learn, learn and live, pick both, not one over the other, be students, be teachers, be fighters, be lovers.

Never go too fast, nor move too slow, who knows which second will be your time to go.

Regrets, who needs them, moving forward means to forgetting regretting, build conviction not condemnation.

Move forward to live, look backward to learn, there is not better way to get the most out of each turn.

Life may not be a game, but if you know the rules, you can play all the same.
